Long Layers Haircut

Timeless
Versatile
Long layers are a great option if you want to keep your length. With this type of haircut, long layers are blended with your haircut’s length to create movement and add volume. You can add just a few layers to the bottom of your hair for subtle dimension or, for a more dramatic look, extend the layers up the entire length of your hair.

Towel dry your hair, then apply a thickening spray or mousse. Use a round brush and blow dry sections of hair, lifting at the roots and then pulling hair down near the ends. When hair is dry, apply a thermal protectant product. Use a large-barreled curling iron on individual sections of hair, starting at the root and twisting hair around the curling iron. Hold for a few seconds, then release. Repeat until all hair is curled. Gently comb through your curls with your fingers to release the tight curls into gentle waves. Finish your look with hairspray for all-day hold.
Towel dry your hair. Apply a light styling cream or nourishing oil. Using a medium heat setting, blow dry your hair. Use your fingers or a flat brush, lift at the roots to create volume, then brush the rest of the hair flat. Tame flyaways with a pomade.
Towel dry your hair. Add a curl taming cream or mousse specifically for curly hair. Let hair air dry for a little longer. When hair is still damp, dry hair using a diffuser, scrunching hair with the diffuser or with hands to create more definition in curls. Brush gently with fingers or a brush to smooth curls.

Love this haircut? Here's what to tell your stylist so you can get this look.
I’d like to keep my hair long and add some long layers. I’d like the bottom of the hair to be even all the way around.”
Be sure to discuss with your stylist if you want face-framing or bangs, as these are great options for this haircut, too!
