Buzz Cut

Low Maintenance
With a buzz cut, your stylist will use clippers to cut the sides, back and top of the hair to a single, uniform length. Even though it’s called a buzz cut, it can be longer than what many people picture when they hear that term. The length of the hair is typically indicated by the hair clipper “guard number,” which falls between 0 and 8. A buzz cut can be combined with a fade for a polished finish.

Style the look at home
Apply a pomade or moisturizing texturizing cream to damp hair. Let it air dry to avoid making the curls fuzzy. Once the hair is dry, smooth out any flyaways with a comb or soft-bristle brush.
What to tell your stylist
Love this haircut? Here's what to tell your stylist so you can get this look.
“I'd like a buzz cut. I want all the hair to be the same length with no fading [unless you want to combine your buzz with a fade]. I’d like to clean up the neck so the hair is even across the back.”
